ill keep doing some short funky animations to push further my figures. Definitely the people that does traditional animation are insane, keeping proportion scale and likeness is a bitch!

    sketch process

i doubt you can learn something from this, is more for you to see how i do my crap and you can make suggestions on how to improve the rendering or desing time. It is on realtime is not sped up as you can see, but the frame rate is like 12 fps that's why it looks extremely skipped

Good to see the lot of sketches in here. It shows your getting your structure down - keep working at it. "seeing through" is one of those things that take a while, you REALLLY have to practice and practice it. Your digitals could use more opaqueness. Paint without the dodge tool, smudge tool or anything else, except for the opaque basic brush tool. This also takes a whole lot of patience and discipline. but in the end, it's actually closer to traditional painting, than using blending techniques. Blending should come after using opaque/flat tones. Otherwise, you get this impressionistic, watercolor-ish look and feel.

Keep going, and have fun on the journey of an artist!

long time poetry man, thanx for the input that's what im talking about, well i usually just use paletteknife brush and a semitransparent one. no smugde, but yeah ill do some stuff with the good old roundbrush. The dodge is a habit from my days doing montages in photoshop.

I admire the pushing determination that is flowing lately through your veins,
huge mallet in your hand, your great power no one will withstand. Lots of improvement
lately, you are grinding the meat down in an admirable fashion, I believe that this time
next year you could be a millionaire. Your studies are popping like popcorn from a corn
machine, you just need to pay a bit more attention to proportions and anatomy. Some of
your figures are looking some kind of wobbly like they have no bones underneath the
skin, that’s why you should dedicate some small amount of time doing basic anatomy,
drawing skeletons and scary fleshless things. Your muscle understanding is getting better
and your values are slowly climbing up the ladder, slowly but surely you are becoming
a true force to reckon with. A bit more hash and clash and everything will be perfect.
Just keep on working, mileage will bring its own miracle and you will be able once
again to watch the enemy right in the eyes. Through the crematory window of course.
Take care, be good and keep on doing good things.

Nice creature designs, I can already see them appearing
in my New Year’s eve nightmares.
Keep on delivering the good stuff.
