    my.sketchbook

    Hello everyone,

    I am a 3D / Animation / Design Student from Germany.
Drawing and Painting was a hobby of mine for like 5-6 years, but i decided recently to be pushing my skills a bit more.
So any critic is very much appreciated.

Here are some studies ( most of them photo ref ) which I did lately

Lately I had a desire to start doing some landscape paintings, as I never did any I thought it would be smart to start doint some photo studies first- about ~ 20 min

    Wow man,

These look amazing to a beginner like me! Great portraits, love your the color palette's.
Especially on the side-portrait of the guy with glasses, is that someone special? :p

Keep up the great work dude!

Great brushwork! And fantastically vivid colors for digital work. I'm always supremely humbled when I see someone chromatically skilled in Photoshop. My only comment is that a few of your portraits seem to lose some structure when the lightning is softer (like JD and the girl with the blue hair in post #2).

You've got some good brush economy going on, nice enviro's too.
I'm interested to see how your going to apply above studies to creature design.
