i like the way you use colors ..love the cloth studies ..specially the top one that shows the shiny reflective surface.
also good job on figure and value studies. keep up the good work!

HEY NINA! just wanted to offer you some support and say how much i admire your courage for pursuing something you love! I too am in a similar boat. It's definitely worth investing in your future 8-9 hours a day/ 6days a week job of which you love than for the 5 hours a day spend at home. life lived weekend to weekend is too short right?! I'm glad you've found and chosen art as your passion!

You're improvement is amazing and i'm really digging your structuring technique for your gestures, it works well! how many hours a day on average would you say you draw? and any advice for something struggling to get over the whole curve of digital painting?

thanks i'll update some stuff pretty soon
i like how you use those rough textures in the first one to get the feeling of rocky surface

im not really that great of an artist but a word of advice, if i may,
the second piece has a very little feeling of depth right now it looks flat on paper try adding a lil fog and some desaturation for the far away hill/mountain to give it a feeling of depth so it feels that the mountain/hill is far far away
but nonetheless good job on the env.

oh moving back to hometown... any big plans??

Hey Nina I've really enjoyed looking through your sketchbook. I think you are doing well and studying all the right things, so no crits from me, just a large amount of encouragement to keep it up. I'm looking forward to watching your progress.

The work here is shaping up nicely, some of the environments are looking great. Keep studying, and work from imagination, too. It's vital to strike a balance between the two. No real crit from me I'm afraid, just keep going.

Good job on your studies, just watch out on some of your measurements on these heads:
    Ninas Sketchbook
Red is more how the divisions should be, green is how you have it. The bottom of the chin, the bottom of the nose, the brow ridge, and the original hair line should be close to making perfect thirds.

Wow, I'm really digging that last environment, I think the small touches of red really bring it to life. I think you could go for a slightly more interesting sky the next time maybe?
The demon concept is also pretty cool you've got some great line variations going on there IMHO.

    hey hows it going?
    nice work
what i really like about your Environments is that they look traditionally painted its quite difficult to get that look kudos to you on that

however id suggest one thing..... your environments lack a little contrast [my personal opinion offcourse]
you can use some adjustment layers like curves or levels to really bring in some of that contrast.
    eg :

    Hope it helps :]

liking that creature it looks so comic/badass game kind of look ...reminds me of darksiders

Ambiguity wow thanks alot for that feedback. I appreciate that and I didnt knew about it either so big thanks

SpareChange thanks I enjoyed doing both and glad that you liked it and again thanks for the advice on the sky.

Xcarbon Hey! Its going fine here, xmas is finally over and soon its new year and then back to the daily life How are you doing?
Thanks for the nice comment on my enviroments and wow thanks for the feedback/adjustment you did. I see clearly how it all changes and that the colors becomes more vibrant. I just felt like its abit like cheating to use adjustment layers, I do not mind others who do it its just that I feel like I should be able to do it without but after seeing that Ill deffo atleast see what it can do
I shall work more on contrast. big thanks and happy new year to you. Hope you had a nice xmas

great job on face studies too and i love the one with the glasses
ive heard from a few that drawing smiles is quite hard but you seem to be quite good at it the girl on the bottom right has the best smile i've seen in quite a while.
