I wanted the feedback of other artists.

I want a glove that unsheathes pencils from the knuckles like Wolverine's claws! Just kidding. (Really though, I do.)

Incidentally, this project reminds me of the hardcore crayon holder that Mark Kistler used to wear on his arm. Now that guy knew how to carry his art supplies.

And then God said, "Let us make man in our likeness and our image. Let us make him ridiculously hard to draw so that poor artists everywhere will have to spend 10,000+ hours failing repeatedly before they can begin to capture the form and likeness onto a two-dimensional surface." And there was man. And it was good. And artists everywhere lost their minds.

    I'm keen on this idea.
    I have a Derwent rollup bag: http://images21.fotki.com/v516/photo...ilwrap2-vi.jpg

But I tend not to use all that many pencils, usually just need some greyscale and ink, so yes, this would be a great asset. I especially like how it can be strapped to a book. Great thinking!

My concern is the velcro, is it a soft velcro?
I'm imagining the velcro scratching your wrist... Not sure.

How is the colour in the material? Does it wash out or retain its colour?
    Is the material starchy?

I'll probs get the 2-pack deal... Not sure.

Looks awesome. make sure the rubber bands are tight enough so nothing will fall even when shaking. Nothing worse then having your pencils fall and break. Maybe think of a way to make adjustable holders that can be tightened or loosened and fit for anyone's needs. If it can't hold exactly what I need it to hold then it won't really simplify things.
The magnet and the rubber band are awesome ideas as well.
An artist's belt/pouch would also be nice =]

I actually like the belt pouch idea better to be honest... Would be easier for walking around.

Would you be able to hold erasers or a sharpener with this wrist band?
I suppose they're easier to put in your pocket and not get stabbed...

If you make something like this, I honestly recon they'd sell...http://rags2bags.sg/projects/pen-holder

I can't see something like this selling too well, tbh.
It's a very fine niche market really.
I showed the guys in my class, and maybe 3 or 4 said it was cool, most said that pockets work just fine.

I don't mind it, however a belt kinda thing would be better suited for me.
As my pockets are usually full.
Maybe add a slit through the fabric so that a belt could be fed through it... But the I'd fear that they'd fall out...
