Hey man thanks for dropping by my SB. Yours is looking really good. I really like the environment thumbnails, would like to see some more of them! Also really like the colors you managed to get into that knights face. Keep it up!

Pundt My pleasure, was cool to see your SB. Thank you. Will definetly do some more environment thumbnails, they're good practise to me. The colours on the knights face were fun to pick up .

    No Round Apples

I had a chance to visit a garden with four gorgeous, old appletrees. This is done quickly (~15min) from memory. The other one is challenging my limits to try to come up with four environmental pieces from imagination only, each within 20 minutes. Crazy hard stuff. Today I coudn't manage to get out what I wanted, but I'll to this soon again to try again. In the mean time I continue to study environments from the reference too.

    History teaches

Studying light with Rembrandt, the original painting is called "A Franciscan monk reading", an oil painting from 1661. Used around 30minutes with this. The darker values are missing from the shadows if you compare it to the original version.

    Face study

Hmm. I see concept art is back up again. It was a long weekend. Shame that the first page of my sketchbook doesn't work, but I hope it'll be fixed. Got a lot of stuff to photograph to get in here that I've done traditionally, but that will wait for now. This is a face study with photoshop.

Hey, thanks for stopping by my sketchbook! ^^
I really like your environmental thumbnails, they read really well.
I think your last face study could use a little work. I'm not entirely sure what it is, but I feel like the left part of her face (the part in the dark) is drooped slightly down compared to the part of the face in the light. o-o But that's just my opinion. :3 Good stuff! ^^

Thank you for taking time to comment. The last one definitely needs to be worked.
