    Hey everyone,
Im 19 years old living in nyc. Ive been lurking conceptart for years and finally made a sketchbook in the hopes that i will be consistent and practice everyday (havent heard that one before)...

With school starting soon i decided i need to brush off the dust. I eventually want to start doing more subject matter that interests me but for now its just practicing fundamentals as i truly lack them. c&c is much appreciated

    lets get started

i did this for my portfolio awhile ago as a quick last piece, ref used

I think this style is a nice starting point for getting into realistic painting. I like how the shadows are made. They make the details more apparent. Keep it up!

takashmen - thank you. i know drawing from life is the best way to learn, i was just trying to get some confidence, especially with the tablet before i move on to more serious practice

gabeLamas - thank you very much. realistic painting is a style i want to explore. Mixing unrealistic concepts with a realistic style like Daniel LuVisi is what im truly aiming for in the future, but for now im going to mix it up a bit

Heres the i guess finished version of the previous wip. didnt spend as much time on it as the other one so i guess thats why i dont like it as much. i might go back and refine it later
