Your hair studies are killing me with their perfection! I also love your sketchbook pages and the way the sketches are jumbled together.
    Looking forward to seeing more!

    for this week's c.o.w.

    Concept: Persephone's Seedlings
Given to Persephone as a gift from Hades, born from the tears that fell from her eyes when she found out she was bound to the underworld (eating the pomegranate seeds). They are always hungry for souls, flesh and pain and traverse the rivers Styx, preventing anything from entering and leaving the underworld.

    thanks kartatajba

friend wanted a tatt design so I whipped this up for him, but i don't know if it'd be successful or not. anyone with tattoo knowledge and sees possible problems with it, it'd be great if you let me know how i can fix it =]

quickie: one of two situations I imagined for the viewer to decide, 1) she gets sucked into the book, 2) she get's magical powers which triggers a chain of events that lead her on a crazy adventure.

    hi there

    if you want some critic:
smooth and hard edges are very far from each in term of blur VS Hard

seems you're using lasso and smudge too much

if u use smudge, don't use the round simple brush ( u can use the smudge brushes included in this set, they have numver in the name ) good brushes set photoshop

or use the manual smudge (eyedropper + opacity pressure brush)

    keep up you're doing good

    good luck

How do you achieve those crispy and clean edges ? Lasso tool ?

Thanks for the feedback zou. I don't use the smudge tool at all, the smudging effect in my sketches is just from using soft round brushes without much blending. But yeah, I blend colours when I'm working on a piece.

It's looking good man! I'm liking what you got going on and those sketchbook pages are very very nice. Some of your paintings are could just use some sharpening with a hard brush, but that's all I really got for you. Nice creature design variations and that skull with the gold is looking very clean :]. Awesome man keep this thread updated and I'll follow your blogspot while I'm at it!
