Had to work this weekend, so I didn't have time to put much polish on it. At least I finished to some extent.
Valcharius the Cruel was demented long before the events that led to his cursed resurrection. As a boy Valcharius was the eldest son of the prominent Valerian family, close to the King and respected within the realm. The first person Valcharius killed, at age nine, was his servant Joffey, by strangulation. The second was a stable boy named Eggert, with a chopping ax, at age eleven. As Valcharius grew so did the number of his victims, while his family emptied their coffers desperately attempting to cover up their monstrous son's murders. When he grew to manhood the Valerian family begged the King to take their son into his employ, in the deepest of the King's dungeons where his sadism and blood lust could be quenched in secret. Although the King was reluctant Valcharius took to his appointment with fervor, but it was only the beginning of the horrors he would unleash.
For fifty years Valcharius lorded over his dungeons, transforming the already dismal prison into a sanctum of misery and suffering. As rumor of Valcharius's malice spread criminal behavior in the kingdom all but ceased, for the fear of being sentenced to Valcharius's dungeon was deemed a fate far worse than death. A new age of prosperity dawned across the land, and for decades there was order and law unlike there had ever been before. The King, pleased with the Valerian family and the restorative effect their son had had on his kingdom, held a royal banquet to commemorate the dungeon master's appointment. Valcharius, of course, was not invited.
But the Dungeon Master did attend. He attended at the toast to his honor, drenched in fresh blood and dragging his greatsword, the Executioner, behind him. At first the crowd responded with horror, then awkwardly attempted to thank Valcharius for his service to the kingdom. The dungeon master accepted their compliments and platitudes with a smile on his face before laying into the crowd with the Executioner, butchering dozens of terrified revelers. His family pleaded with him to stop before they too were cut down. The King, tears running down his face, asked "why, why, why".
Valcharius responded plainly, "There was nothing left in my dungeons to kill."
As punishment the King, enraged at the horrific massacre, had his darkest magicians put a curse upon Valcharius to grant him the eternal life of undeath, and chained him to rot for all time in his dungeons. Valcharius's interment lasted only briefly, for he soon escaped his bonds by chewing off his own arm, and appeared once more before the King, brandishing Executioner, to deliver his ultimatum. Now immortal and more insane than ever, the King had no choice but to bow to the insane Dungeon Master's demands, providing fresh prisoners, innocent or otherwise, to slake the monster's thirst for suffering.
None have ever escaped the Black Dungeon, for only Valcharius's burning eyes can pierce the lightless gloom. Valcharius does however light torches, placing them far from any exits, so that those who do flee their cells will be drawn deeper into the labyrinth away from salvation. Valcharius is then able to hunt escapees down at his leisure, relishing their fear as they huddle in dim pools of light, listening to the approaching rasp of the Executioner's edge on the blood-stained floor.

Having lost his mind years ago, he travels through the dungeon collecting prizes from his victims while he sings bawdy show tunes. The more someone screams the louder he sings. His raw singing echos through the dungeon sending fear through the prisoners.
[ Here is my entry. I am not happy with result. First sketch looks great. Finished one... Don't know, I hate it. ]
That guy died years ago, but he still walks because he loves his job. It's torturing prisoners and beheading them with a blade, right from the forge, by the way. But sometimes it becomes boring so he summons spirits of his slain victims that are willing to tear apart their mortal brethren.
He keeps his keys on rings so he can lose them all at the same time.
Hi there, first time I take part in this competition aaannnd and also first post in this forum. Jeeiiiiii!!!
So here he is, my "creepy" undead dungeon master.
Oh and I'm really sorry I didn't have the time to post my WIP in the WIP-threat. Hopefully next time I won't be in that much of a hurry.
He was sent as a one man wrecking crew...the finest warrior of the Giants, sent to kill the Monarch who had destroyed their home and family. Little did he know that the Monarch had set up a trap at the entrance to his chambers. As the giant reached in to snatch the Monarch the trap sprung severing his hand. The giant assassin was captured and cursed to the undead, sentenced to spend eternity as the castle's dungeon master. He is sustained by the souls of those he keeps in his stomach cell.

This was a fun one, wasn't it!? Good luck y'all!
When he comes the whole floor treembles, you never know what kind of torture he brings under that long beard, you never will see his face, nor would you want, you ll just feel the pain, his pain, your pain, and hope he will fail in his task, and let you die!!!!
he was a royal warrior of the guard, the chief among the entire squad, and best friend of the king, since little he loved the queen, but she was promised to the king, and he had to lay down votes for their wedding, in secret he always met with her, she loved him too, but when the king found out and banished him from the realm cutting his weapon arm, making him useless, he swore vengeance and certain night tried to kill the king, only stopped by the woman he loved, wich he ended up killing instead...afraid of what might come again the king cursed him to serve him once again, but now for eternity, torturing the ones that opposed him, with a sharped claw, who remind him forever, of his punishment, and the love he had for the queen, he swore never cut his long beard, simbol of the guard of the king, until his sins have been forgiven, and he could finally rest in peace. In his foot, wich were severely cut before being cursed by the king, was made magically from anshatered stone, and purged to his feet, so not only he can escape fast, but the kings face on it is a constant reminder to him, of his friend who he betrayed, and a louding sound to the ones he tortures...all this thing at the same time tortures him for all eternity, so he is the master torturer, who is tortured at all times!!!
well im calling it finished, for the sake of time, and i really like the energy and the loose brushstrokes on this! i must improve my rendering skills, but here it goes for now!!!
Very hard round , many lovely works .....
Lots of really cool looking Dungeon Masters!
Huge Keyring. If I had more time I'd make the large Key more ornate

Hey I didn't post my work in the WIP thread, so could some of you guys give me some crits here? Thanks!
lollollolol i putt in the wip treadh and didnt get any crits either lololol, i really like yours, zo1ks, i really dont have nothing to crit, i wish i had your rendering skills, maybe one think i can point is your character is a bit cliche, or somewhat predicable, and you should push the design a bit more, deviate from, normal conceptions and tryed other aproachs...but nothing wrong with it mate, to me it looks very good..maybe next time try to create some backstory that help push his design a little bit further, other than that got nothing more to say
z01ks - Your design is solid and pretty straight forward. You did a good job in planning out the little details like his tool set. The apron could've been reworked because, as it is now, it looks unfinished and also makes his legs seem too short. I can see he's' not only rotting but is also diseased, which is a cool touch. If you had more time I would've liked to see more work done on the colors to really enhance that.
Aight, thanks guys. Yeah I guess it was pretty generic. Gonna try to push the design aspect more next time...
