    Warre's Gig

    Hi,

Well i used to draw a lot as a child, it stopped because of other interests.
Now I've started again a time ago.

At the time i just draw, i didn't carry about composition, volume, light etc..IU just draw.
Now I'm trying to understand it and try to improve.

Personally I wonder if i will ever get as most i see here or on other places...
I know practice and doing it is the key , but still...

Anyway, i hope beside practice i will improve with a little help from here (don't we all?) and maybe help others in the future.

    Here some old drawings

    Inked with Faber Castell pens.
    Need to work on inking.
For a start i need to do these on smoother paper, gonna check some ink tutorials
My scanner doesn't do well at the drawing either.

    So tips are always welcome!

one thing I'd recommend is making the eyes on your heads just a tad smaller.

I think if you studied anatomy just a bit more, it'd improve your figures overall as well.

On the bright side, your pen/ink looking work seems executed nicely. The edges seem very crisp so nice job on that.

Doctors heal you, Artists immortalize you.

"Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach" - bullshit.

    The usual staples for anatomy:
    George Bridgman
    Joseph Sheppard
    Andrew Loomis

Except the perspective lines and some minor lines I did all immediately in ink.
So it was almost impossible too correct the mistakes?

Why i did it like this?
I wanted to try this style, but not spend too much time... but i actually did lol.( many intensive hours)
Also study perspective and old architecture.

    Glastonbury Abbey was my reference.

    With reference.
When I was drawing I was happy with the result.
After it was scanned and I had another look I was disapointed :/
    O well better next time

Hey man great start, you can draw so that'a a great thing. Just keep doing your studies and applying them to your personal work. You'll improve in no time that way.
