Here's hoping he gets raped long and hard in prison and dies a slow AIDS riddled death.
This is really terrible beyond words. A 6 year old amongst the casualties?
It's terrifying how each day could potentially be your last, due to the whims
of some pathetic living abortion.
I don't know which would be worse, if it's just some pathetic psycho or
some inbred religious fanatic on a terrorist mission. Either one is equally terrible.
My most sincere condolences for all those affected.
Hollywood Reporter really needs to remove the trailer at the top of the article. At
least try to show an iota of respect you tacky bastards.

They cancelled the red carpet showing in Paris in light of the shooting.
Cell phone footage of some of the aftermath. Besides the guy covered in blood the part that kills me is the poor kid coming out in his Batman costume at 1:06

In comparison, this guy murdered one more person than the Columbine massacre and injured twice as many.

A 3 month old was shot point blank range. I suppose he is dead.
I know that these people are psychopaths and have brain damage that others do not, but I still wonder; WHY? What is the point? Fame?
Then I remember a shooting by a Texas man who shot up an entire office building, and then went home and killed his wife. He was writing in his diary how he felt awful urges and how the doctors ignored them. He was afraid something like this would happen soon, and apparently did not know why he was doing it as he was doing it. He left his money to be donated towards brain related research "to prevent further tragedies such as this".
They later found a tumour growing in his brain.
So I suppose there need not be a reason... Scary, no?

The great news is that the 3 month old survived and is reunited with their family. The bad news is that a bunch of people's lives have been ruined permanently this morning.
This person died apparently. Her last tweet haunts me. It's only minutes before she was murdered.

Good to hear that the 3 month old is ok, but a bit puzzled why you'd bring a 3 month old to a midnight showing of a movie that's probably gonna be loud.

There's nothing more annoying than parents taking kids to shows at this time of night and you have to put up with their BS, it's not like movie showings are cheap.
Not ranting at you, just tired of parents doing this crap for the sake of a few hours of entertainment.
Anyways, least he didn't set off bombs because that would have made it far far worse.
Also the death penalty here doesn't work in the US because we have way too many appeals. In other countries you don't get that many appeals. Here people will sit a good 20 years in prison before executed.

About all the things people would do to murderers and serial killers, I can't help but remember that preachy sermon Rachel Dawes gives Bruce in the car when he admits he wanted to kill Joe Chill, something like justice is about harmony and revenge is about making yourself feel better. Obviously that was a different situation as Chill was mugging people out of economic desperation, but I still find the association kind of ironic.
