MLP painting wip 2
Hi guys! I'm back for another whack at it. My last thread I got some pretty useful feedback, was wondering if I could get some more.
I'm taking a look at this WIP and sensing some issues, but they don't instantly stand out, perhaps another pair of eyes looking at it may help.

OH. OH GOD SPIKE.
Uh, sorry that I went bit overboard with the overpaint because maybe that Spike was just a really rough draft but jesus that's creepy. Nightmare Spike will haunt my dream tonight.
Anyway, I'd re-check the perspective in the pony's legs and though I didn't address this in my overpaint, I'm not really buying the connection between the head and body, and to me it kinda looks like her head attached to her right leg "shoulder". It might be caused that hair though because the highlights showing it's form don't make it look like the hair is conforming to the shape of the head as it should, but that the shape of the head and hair are completely separate entities that do not work together. Also I have this feeling that the hair swirl is phasing through the front leg.
Also it doesn't help that the lighting is coming from everywhere, Despite the head being lit from front-above, her head casts no shadow to her back, and neither does it cast a shadow to her behind leg (neither does her hair to the front leg, assuming the light is coming from above), that's clearly lit from the side (and same goes to all the legs, if the light is coming from above, the light/highlight that's hitting the legs shouldn't be as bright all the way of the leg, but brighter near the light source, and have the lower part of the leg be have less light).
Personally I'd choose just one well defined lightsource to follow.
