I totally whipped up an idea last night, so stoked to work on it... now if only my pressure sensitivity on my tablet would work :I

Tacijana: Definitely gross and scary, love it.

Christoffer: I agree with cloudbreaker, biped #5 definitely has my interesting peeked, as dones quadraped #1 Lots of interesting silhouettes in general actually.

Rob Powell: Your middle sketch comes across as the scariest, but the bird-esque on the the right really has the "greeter" vibe... Probably due to the somewhat outstretched arms/wings.

In general I'm stoked to see how this round goes, a lot of awesome ideas already forming

Hey everyone~ had some free time this weekend so I thought to join the party! I didn't have too much time to explore different concept so I just went with what I had. I might work on this a bit more later, but not sure how much I can get done during the week!

    Hi guys,

    nice ideas so far!
Here's my pencil sketch. Not exactly the thing I wanted to visualize, but let's see how far I can get with this.

I think I'm going to wrap this up since I don't think I'll time in the weekdays next week. Can't wait to see everyone's disgusting creepy creatures!!

    I uploaded 2 version, one's more colorful, and one's more dead.... can't decide which one's better? T_T

thaaaat's it Njoo: Exposed muscles and specular shiz ftw ^_^ Also like the 'white salamander' esque head. One thing though: Your style of rendering might a bit too 'cartoony' to make it downright horrifying? It's an odd critique I know.

for me pale+disgusting=skeletons so i tried to draw random bones and make sense of them keeping in mind a birdlike head, so i draw a birdhead rat. I'm gonna add some wings ad a rat tale.

Pixeltuner: I totally know what you're saying, I kinda went a bit too colorful, I was reference a lot of the bloody dissection images and things kinda went a different way then I planned. I uploaded a more "dead" tissue version, you think it'll work better? I can't decide

I think the more 'greyish' colour definitely helps but maybe a bit of textural decay would be even better, to make it less clean

Edit: and I think you should keep the deep red colour at seams and crevices and such to make it look like bloody lines.

Njoo thats a tough one but I might have to go with the first one it looks more morbid and frightening the second coloring looks completely dull and it doesnt have that much scare to it either way It's good
