    hey cool stuff man, try to use more saturated colors next time, everything's looking a bit too gray overall. And try to use bigger brushes! All the small brush strokes can make it look a bit unfinished and muddy.

    dude yes!
    its been quite a while since ive showed up here, sorry.
    nice going on the digitals! noice colors!
    remeber to use darker tones in a few places(the forest piece), it would really bring life to the piece.

    excellent, the first B&W on this page is awesome and the rest are good too. Looks like you're just letting loose and painting! And the track your on shows that all you have to do is just keep practicing like this until your art looks the way you want it to. Look to your inspirations and artists you like, work towards that level and you'll get there. If all of this gets too overwhelming or it seems like you're not making progress... SPECIFY and NARROW DOWN what you need to work on, I mean localize your practice sessions to working on smaller things, otherwise keep at this, very nice work.

    thanks guys! and eternalapprentice: i could probably do it better in pencil, i just got lazy and threw random brush strokes down haha, now that i look at it on a different screen im like wtf @.@

    shahan: its been a while man, yeah ive been doing more stuff but i just upload the stuff that seems worthwhile, anyways i actually just watched about half of a fengzhu video (before and after,59) and realized that im just trying to get the muscle memory for that particular pose, or that particular apple, etc... but how exactly can i study so that i dont need to start over everytime i do something? how do i study so that i keep things consistent im talking about the core fundamentals, its just something that im thinking about, i want to stop having to rely on luck for something to come out nice

    really love your pen sketches! Pens really make you think about which lines are absolutely essential in a drawing, so I think it's good that you do some pen studies. Sketchbook looks nice so far, keep on pushing!

    Latest painting has good depth in the woods and the sketch looks awesome. Colors are kind of flat/muted, though.

    Rising from my deep slumber!

    So after a year of laziness and just horrible procrastination and being unproductive. I am back and hopefully for a long time, I have slacked off majorly on my studies so It is a little disappointing to realize that its been a whole year since the last time i posted and I dont even see that much of an improvement, so I am going to change that, I am going to study harder than before in order to reach my goals!

    I have some pictures i took with my phone because my scanner wasnt working, of my sketchbooks, I will also post some of my school work, I am currently attending UNCG for studio art, going into a painting major most likely.

    Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

    These are not necessarily in any order btw

    in fact the life drawing related ones are a little more recent, within a month or so, and the last one I did is the one done in red and blue col erase pencil, which I did yesterday

    Hey Isaac. Your sketches are cool I see improvements a lot here from ur first post until now. Great ones, mate! Keep practicing. I like your still-life skull drawing. You've improved in lighting sense. Can't wait to see you working on digital stuffs again

    Can be seen carrying sketchbook around nearby bus station.

    Really passionate with characters I see.

    Lots of really impressive anatomy sketches . I can see the improvements as it progresses.

    Although there seems to be a weakness in extreme angles. I seem to get that problem :/. I find it a lot easier to practice on those by having a friend doing them and taking pictures loool

    Keep at it

    Thank you, yeah I really need to get back to painting digitally again, I have done a few things but they are horrible so yeah.
    @Karta Tajba
    Thanks man I will!
    @saf~
    Yeah thats one of the main things I would like to work on, yeah i do have a lot of trouble with angles, thats something I am going to work on more as well as perspective.

    Heres some sketches of flowers and random blobs, I really enjoyed this process, really adds to my visual library

    Good jab with all these drawings bruh! I see that you're already doing blobs in 3d form. I wonder if the lesson came from cgma's dynamic sketching by peter han? I'm not sure if i'm allowed to link that here, though. You're already pretty good with proportions, mate. For strengthening your linework I suggest doing more of the blobs thing that you were doing, :>

    Your last black and white study is going good mate! You're nailing down the composition and flow. Although her head could use a bit of resizing and tilt, you're in the good. I also agree with the previous comment of using bigger strokes for coloring. Many times you may need soft edged brushes in your painting, and a combination of hard and soft. Edges can be more easily defined. I see that it's only 30 minutes, so good job on that one!

    Lastly, if you're looking to improve your angles on anything, the tip of the pro artists I've read from would be to draw things in a box/block. Since the head can be imagined in a box, that's not a problem cheers :>

    Thank you rowzzr! yeah i was inspired by what they do in that class, hopefully one day ill actually take the real one haha I hope i dont get in trouble for that. Yeah I do need to use bigger strokes but for some reason I can seem to listen to myself when painting digitally and I make a mess but hopefully itll get better over time

    anyways heres a head study from sargent, This was actually really fun, I think i spent close to an hour, hour and a half on this one, took me so long because I have trouble picking the right colors so it was alot of trial and error
    I also did some life drawing but I dont want to upload that yet as the page isnt full to my standards yet
