Trying to do more speed paintings and practice. I feel relatively complete with it but I know you guys always push it and critique it to the next level, so I'd like to learn off of this piece as well.
Edit: Actually, I do have one question. I really, really, wanted to add some color to make it pop more, but I wasn't entirely sure how. When I tried it just didnt look right. I was thinking like blue banners maybe?

Depth of field: the details in the foreground should usually be more clear than the background, it looks like the other way around. Also some forms in the foreground of the drawing are undefined and placed randomly so it is hard to discern what they are so it would be a good idea to clear them up and sharpen them some so their role in the concept becomes more apparent..
Where your lightest light and your darkest dark meet are where you can play with color. If you want to place flags or banners, place them in those areas. Remember that the most saturated color is going to be a midtone.
This is looking great, keep it up!
Thanks Hikix, unfortunately, try as I might, I'm not sure I understand the suggestion very well. I guess I'm getting mixed up with the terminology... Do you have any examples of what you mean?
Sidenote, great style you got
