Just finished another one for Airborn. I focused a bit more on the housing of the ice-people. Hope you guys dig it as much as the rest!

Here is another update. For the last 3 to 4 weeks I worked for Parasol Island on an online-animated ad for Karstadt.
Parasol Island wanted me to create concept art for their 39sec ad. I was mainly doing backgrounds and after that I did some Matte paintings and some production stuff needed.
The concepts for the characters and animals were made by Steve Scott.

I really liked working for Parasol Island. It was a good, easy collaboration without any troubles.

You can see the ad here: ------> Vimeo link <-----

And a little 'Making of' here: ------> Vimeo link <-----

And here are the concepts at first and the matte painting for all backgrounds after.

Excellent sketchbook. I love how vibrant the colors in the first batch were and I'm really liking the Air Borne and Parasol Island series.

So, a 'little' update to whats been happening this year so far:

    Always click for HD
First of all a comissioned artwork for Sandbox Interactives 'Albion Online':

    sketchbook acapulco

Another concept piece for 'Airborn - Piño's Journey'. It is also set in the icy regions and shows a normal family posing for a portrait.

    sketchbook acapulco

The next one was a starting point for some exploration in a dark fantasy realm for 'Substrata'.

    sketchbook acapulco

I have done a bit more, I will post them up soon.

Your work has "body" meaning these characters and locations have excellent presence which instantly convince my eyes that what I am seeing could be real in the fantasy realm. The design for the medieval "robot" warrior above is sick! Somehow, I think he would look more appropriate with a warhammer than a sword, but that's just me.

    Keep doing you

Alright, the last post was quite a long time ago, so here is a update:

I started with my bachelorthesis at the time I posted last here. I have not really done anything else than my bachelorthesis, so here it is:

I created a new IP, meaning a new world based on our reality but 1800 years in the future. This world is ruled by a huge artificial intelligence with mankind as its pet. For all the information I wrote up on this thing and the illustrations I created for it there is a homepage where you can read and see everything:

    Altepetl Axculho

I also did create a tumblr blog: Me on tumblr!

And here are two of the artworksI created:
