    Studio Space?

Space has been very limited since I moved to the United States. I share an apartment with someone and my room is pretty small right now. I absolutely can't paint anywhere around my apartment and even drawing/digital stuff has been hard due to the mess and distractions that are around me.

I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for a temporary studio space. I could maybe afford to rent a small location, but I am not too sure where to go about looking for things like this. Any advice? I don't need much, just a place I could set up a canvas, some still lives and maybe (depending on money) a small desk.

    Thanks!

Might be a good idea to let us know where exactly you live. Otherwise check out the Show your studio thread for some nifty space saving solutions.

Perhaps you could focus on plein air painting for awhile. The whole outdoors is your studio!

What's your budget like to rent a space? Here is a piece of artist real estate heaven:

But that's a lot of money! There's also this place which looks pretty promising:

I sympathise very much since I'm in your situation too right now. Just emigrated myself and living in a single room apartment with my partner, I miss my studio back home!!

It may also be a good idea to try and split a studio space with one or more people to help bring down the cost. It beats being lonely all the time, too. IMO.
