Its' free and it takes less than 10 seconds!
Here it goes. I mostly like to use pencil; as I've stated before, I just started getting serious about drawing last year at the age of 19. Critiques are greatly appreciated, don't hold back.
And here's my new icon

That's the first thing I'll do, thanks. I really like your sketchbook by the way, nice work.
Wow it's been a long time. Sorry for the low quality, I just felt the need to get something up here to get into a routine.

Some quick sketches. Top left is Sigmund Freud, not sure who the top right is, and the bottom is James D. Watson.
In accordance with LaCar's now famous first post, I am going to be doing more value studies. This was a quick 15 minute charcoal sketch I did last night (also my first time using charcoal, also an idea from LaCar.)
Trying to understand value better.
Quick space image done in Photoshop.
Nice form in the heads!
The values are already a bit better than in the first posts!
Keep them sketches coming!

Thanks, I'll try to keep them coming.
Some sort of a spider robot. I'm trying to quickly draw simple shapes with a little perspective. I'm not too concerned with the design elements or that its not quite like a spider.
These are two photoshop portraits, which took about 1-1.5 hours each. Let me know what you think and how I should improve.
Here are 5 characters for a video game I am working on.
dig the variety of faces you draw. photoshop paintings coming along well. maybe try doing a painting in the colors that aren't the actual ones to build richer understanding of values. lookin cool
Thanks SAPRO, I'll try experimenting with the colors. How did you get your icon to be that shark? I want to change my sketchbook icon and can't figure out how....
This is my ink and watercolor copy of Sargent's Madame X. Done for a collage project, the dress pattern is a magazine clipping.
Norwegian Bride, first pen and ink wash potrait.
A photoshop drawing on my droid figure, which I've named Droidette.
A root beer bottle. Done in pen, marker, and whiteout.
Here's a WIP of a room design done at the suggestion of Mental-Mouse
Huzzah, It likes nice, though muddy(Wish I could help with that but my painting skills are terrible), to me. Objects seem to line up right. Couches seem a tad oddly placed, but I kinda dig it.
I'll post my stuff soon. Once tomorrow is over I won't have another big Class Assignment due till the next Tuesday!
Thanks, it was pretty difficult but for a first attempt I'm satisfied. it really is muddy and the layout doesn't make sense but I'm done with it.
good luck, I can't wait to see your work.
your black and white stuff is good as well as the head drawings. your color paintings are muddy and dark, maybe try doing them in greyscale first then lay color over in a new layer. You can either switch the modes for the new layer to colorize or overlay, or you can adjust transparency for the brush starting low and working your way up. Hope this is helpful for you and goodluck.
thanks, I'll give the gray scale and color overlays a try. I tend to work dark to light so I end up with a lot of dark and kinda muddy colors.
this is a model of a male torso with the muscles exposed. my first clay model.
My submission for the Sinix "themed" princess thread, a marionette princess.
My first 3 assignments for Composition 1.1
you have some nice values in your comps. The skin tones are nice in #12 aswell. You might want to do some more full figures or gestures.
