    My Sketchbook

Hi, I've been lurking here for a long time... so I decided to join and have my art criticized so I can improve!
some info about me: Almost 16, drawing seriously for 3 years, not very good at it, and wants to improve.
Here are some of my artwork (from oldest to most recent)

Sorry if some are too big

I think working on gesture would really help out your figures, keep up the good work

    Pete Hidalgo - Thank you

Some 30 second gestures and landscapes (the ones in boxes are from photos, the ones without are from imagination)

wow and only 15. I really wish i knew i wanted to be an artist when i was your age though i'm only a few years older. I've been serious about art for over half a year and it feels like everyone is awesome at art but me so i'm here to learn from them too!

When you're drawing figures it may help to keep in mind a "line of action" it will make your figures feel more fluid. Also i noticed you sometimes use many small lines to draw and while this is appropriate occasionally it's better to use fewer, more curved lines to represent the figure. As far as your paintings go, i think it may help to really pay attention to your edges and whether they should be hard or soft. It will make your forms easier to read. Stick with it Black Crown!

O_ranger - (sorry for late reply) Dude, don't be so modest your art is amazing. Also thanks for the advice on using fewer lines.

Don't feel like finishing the painting and took advice on using fewer lines.

Haven't been drawing much. The weird portrait is from imagination, need to do some studies tomorrow. My art upsets me.
