    yo

Alright? I'm looking to improve my technical ability, with an emphasis on the digital media.

Here (i think) are some digital studies one from life and one from a photo

i have a load of traditional stuff but my scanner isn't working

edit: pictures changed for the sake of changing the thumbnail

    Hi, welcome to the forums.

You seem to have a good understanding of light and form already.
    Great start. Let's see more!

    welcome!
when you study from photos, try to capture the mood, keep attention to details.. else those studies often end up like messy somethings ^^

not a very productive day, done some traditional stuff but still can't scan it. Also been trying out different blending techniques in photoshop, heres today's best effort (still awful). As well as this i have started reading colour and light for the realist painter and some of Loomis' books.

today's stuff, mostly loomis. The scans seem a worse quality today for some reason.

Cool stuff! Your anatomy studies look like they're helping out already . Your landscape studies show a lot of promise too! I really like the two you posted before your latest post (#22). They're simple but they seem to work really well.

Keep it up! Can't wait to see more !

Please drop by my sketchbook and help me improve!

Not updated for a little while. I will be stepping it up soon, trying to change my focus from more arty stuff to more design type stuff. But anyhow heres a portrait and a landscape, i have been using mostly just 100% opacity in these.
