Great update!!! And lots! Lots of variety which is great! Still a little bit weird pencil shading, dude, i think you should try shading following the form, that would make it all better imho.

    Great stuff and keep posting!!!

    Cheers!

As fooxoo said, your pencil shading is a little weird and flattens the pieces. Shouldn't be too hard to fix though.

Another thing, I'd like to see more of those dynamic poses. An awful lot of the character pieces on this page have both feet planted firmly on the ground. When you do try more dynamic pieces it becomes rather stiff (like the first one on this page). I hope you feel that you bring the knowledge you gain from the studies with you to the imaginated stuff.

Ellers ser det veldig bra ut. Du ser jo ut til å ha god kontroll på det digitale. Er vel bare å stå på i samme retning.

    nice and moody piece

i would try to use less blacks in your pieces. it doesn't really add to the mood usually and you could use darker versions of other colors that are close to black.

Great texture there. She looks awfully high-breasted though. Maybe the highlight needs to be toned down and/or extended past the crop at the bottom.

Last batch of digital grayscale works is great! Your values just popped to another level, really nice. Though your coloured stuff needs abit of help I think. Try to stay out of completey black shadows, at least when working with big colourschemes. They do feel dirty, or like holes. I know it's been said before but your stuff would really kick it if you started using some colours in the shadows. Try some secondary lightsources too, I think it'll help!

Anyways. I'm just talking nonsense as usual. Keep working you!

Sorknes: Thanks for dropping by! Glad you like the new stuff!

MorteM: Yeah... thanks for the crits and kind words, man! I'm actively thinking about temperature in colors and shadows now!

hp: Really appreciate the crits! Glad you like the mood in it, which was what I was basically going for

maxetormer: Wow! Don't deserve such praise man... hehe... You're really shooting speed as well!

Right... I'll make my rounds in you guys' SB's very soon! End of the day, and I need to get home... hehe... promise I'll get back to ya soon!

Some sketches... not too happy with any of 'em, but I'm showing both the f***ups and the stuff I like... hehe... the digital WIP is looking to be something I might be happy with in the end

your lines portrait the figure pretty well but it seems that they lack confidence when you draw if you sketch your lines out -running over them w/ you pencil a few times. Just try going through a pic once w/o back tracing w/ your pencil
Also you have some great shading thats smooth and shows texture rather well but you are only using a few of the tones you can get w/ your pencil make sure even if its just a doodle to try and get the darkest lines possible w/ a pencil that said you have some great progress, keep it up man
    -hope this helps, jedininja

Hey man, long time no speak (its madcat/Tony/Parkour loving dude) lol changed my name again, lost my internet too haha so i gotta use the librarys, anyway, some pretty sweet stuff going down here over at dceptville man, some of the more extreme shading pieces remind me a bit of marko, and some hurricane in there too. the last two pieces on the other page really kicksomeass, keep pumping shit out like that man! lol.

hows the pk going btw? i haven't had much time to do any, and what with winter coming up, gonna slip and break something haha. taking up break dancing instead, and maybe ninjitsu, gonna be a breakdaning ninja, sweet hu.

    keep on living!

jedininjaman: Hey! Thanks for the thoughts! I'll take 'em into consideration for sure!

fooxoo: Yeah! Glad you did! Made the picture better! Update on it soon! Thanks Edite!

Oregano: Hey Shane! Glad you like! I took that as a challenge... hehe.. I'm in on the CHoW... didn't get time for sketchies on it, so I'll just deliver the final

frogSweat: 'Sup, Tony! Glad you swung by again! Parkour is going good... amongst the other stuff I do... hehe... Been out with a couple of new guys that are getting into it. All fun! Breakdancing is hella cool! Got to know a group of dancers at an event I was filming on Wednesday...I was dabbling before, so I got all stoked to begin dancing again when I saw 'em perform! Glad you like the pics! Thanks man!

Right... sorry ass excuse for an update... I got more pages of sketches as well, but they're tied down atm... I'll post when they get released!

    Hey babe!
You need some stronger poses. Most of your characters looks really awkward in their poses, they need some action in them. Even though you're exaggerating proportions it doesn't help cause they're looking stuff with their poses.
Still doing a great job. Post more you!

    .hugs

    I like those: http://conceptart.org/forums/attachm...1&d=1192808321

but the eyes from the one in the right top corner look kinda "too high" btw ;D.

Whatever, very smooth rendering . are you working with mechanical pencils ?_?.

Agree with Hurri. Cleaning up in your work there, getting better.

Like that goblin a lot, and the girl with the cone-ish hairstyle is something I'd like to see taken further.

    enthomed: Thanks!

MorteM: Good crit! I'll work the poses! Thanks!

pencil1: yeah... his eyes are way too high... hehe... I work with both mechanical pencils and "regular" ones

hurricane: Thanks bro! Means a lot!

Sorknes: Glad you like! Maybe I'll do a digi of the conelady... haha

frogsweat: Thanks man! Been thinking about clothes... good to know it's getting somewhere! Lemme know if you find a ninjitsu club! I'm gonna go do some parkour when I'm done here now...

Right... a few messy sketches and a couple with less rendering like I said I would... hard to stay away from it... hehehe

[EDIT] The profile next to the messy samurai is semi-reffed from an Aleksi-piece... just wanted to give credit where credit is due! [/EDIT]

Why isn't the foot in image 2 not touching a plane? I like the update, but that image is off on that one regard. Good stuff and good values, though you can probably push them further by either pressing harder or making darker single strokes for rendering.

sorry, completely forgot to post! (lok inc..)

Nice update. Your poses are still a little akward and stiff in the nonreffed stuff, but you seem to have gained more confidence with them. Keep em coming! Also i notice you use fewer, more confident and less scribbly lines, good work!

Stark: I kinda imagined him being slightly in motion, foot coming down after a sidestep kinda thing... guess it didn't communicate properly... oh well... Better next time! Thanks for the thoughts!

    hurricane: Thanks! And I will!

Slash: Tell me about it... I'm trying to get poses down... I need to get back to lifedrawing! Glad you think there's progress, though!

frogsweat: Hehe... I'll see what I can crank out hehehe... As for reference on clothes, try picking up Bridgman - Drawing the draped figure...

Mini update here... just a couple of speedies... been a lot going on at work... bad excuse I know... hehe I'll get to scanning some papers soon as well!

Hi looking good no crits atm but just to write something..... since I saw you doing hand studies I must just add something I neglected until just recently and that's that the fingers are not as straight as I thought but they get a lot thicker at the knuckles and that thinner as they get to the middle in between the knuckles...making the outlines like two inwards curves. I had to to feel it with my index finger and thumb to actually be able to see how of curve it really is. I knew there were some but not that much as it is heh.

    Anyway keep going strong.

My sketchbook flawed to the max page 5

The bird is cool. A little weird-looking, but it looks like a good drawing of a weird bird, not a weird-drawing of a regular bird. Dude in the mask looks a little stiff, but good atmosphere.

The skateboarder below is much less stiff, very nice job there. Keep staying loose!

Mindflaw: Thanks for dropping by! Appreciate the thoughts, as always!

max1975: Maskdude.... Yeah... he might've turned out a bit stiff... glad you like the atmosphere, though... I was kinda happy with that as well!
The bird was kinda weird lookin'... hehe... which is why I kinda chose that one to paint...
