Eon: Thanks man! The painterly thing is fairly recent though.. haha.. only got that in there after discovering ArtRage

Sorknes: Thank you! Appreciate the crit! I need to get into more studies.

Chris Noeth: Yep! You're absolutely right! I'll try to think quality instead of quantity.. I need to make a jump up with my work. Thanks for the kick!

Josef K: Thanks dude! Where have you gone on twitter though? I haven't seen an "Artist inspiration" link in ages

maxetormer: Glad you like, hermano! Hope you're settling in nicely up in Canada! I really need to get on MSN and harrass you.. haven't talked to you in ages.. haven't talked to any CA'ers lately.. I suck.. being busy is not a valid excuse.. hah..

    Augmenton: Thank you!

Spect: yooooo! Sorry for being away for so long! Been painting Can't show a lot of it, but I've got an image dump fo' yo' ass right here!

Mischeviouslittleelf: Thanks for the asskickin'! I'm well aware.. heh.. studies comin' up!

hp: Yeah.. updates have been.. neglected for a while.. Been busy (lame excuse)..here's an update to make up for it!

Ok, ya'll.. I'm really sorry for being so negligent of my SB, and CA in general.. I'm gonna make my rounds to all of you as soon as I've posted some pictures! Keep kickin' my ass about updating though!

Right.. this is a mix of a couple of pieces that'll be used (the profiles with the feathers and such, and the red dressed chick), sketches made for my own or for projects and for studies Some I'm happy with, some are crap, but I'll just post a bunch for you guys.. heh.. Hope there's something worth looking at! Appreciate any and all crits and comments!

awesome. your sketching is getting a billion times better.

the red chick piece is awesome. however her face is just killing it. showing that much of her face is not only taking away from some of the mystery factor but it looks like she is leaning backward in a very uncomfy position. i would tilt it down some.

dude the last one is indeed epic....i would fix the right side tho, it's totally throwing off some of the persp and some of the mood as well. (the spotlights and the diagonal rail coming down from right to left)

wanna join my sketchring thing? lol i'm trying to gather some new people because almost everyone doesn't post anymore except farvus/onir.

haha btw i don't really use the ca friend thing that much ^^ just to let you know.

    Wee, you're updating again.

The action one is really neat, good job Newborn sketches looks good as well, push those colours and contrast that you started doing a lil while back some more though!

Those updates are rocking! I can't decide if I like the paintings or drawings the best! Very varied but remains competent! Only crit I can give is that the brown pool border in that Red Dress painting looks too much like a solid color shape. Perhaps it could use further light reflections and shadows (from the branches). Anyway, pic is already quite tough with the drapery and water. Wicked newborn concepts!

Mischeviouslittleelf: Still goin'! Yeah, I totally need that.. I'm gonna try and attend the streaming class on color and light!

kidult: Thanks man! Glad you like

mr. Spect: Thanks for droppin' in so often! YOU RRROOOOCKKK! Hope Newborn will turn out aight.. haha..

hp: Thank you! Yeah, the contrast could really use a bump.. thanks for the crit!

Sorknes: Thanks for the thoughts! Seems like the contrast thing along with my.. flimsy grip on color is a big issue (that is to say, I know it is.. ) will work harder on improving!

Eon: mmm you're totally right.. If that thing took some shadows from the surroundings I think it'd definately be an improvement.. I've already gotten some good crits from hp on it, so I'm reworking it anyhow.. I'll keep it in mind!

Just a few quick quickies.. birds for a thing we're doing at work

Gonna do some workups of a couple of these.. I'll show when I can!

Newborn illo is shaping up really sick. I like the B&W version better due to the harder edges in the foreground. Looking forward to seeing how you finish it!

EDIT: And this was my 600th post! That's a record for me!

Not much time gotta bounce, but I'll get back to you guys soon! Thank you so much for dropping in!

Here's what I got in today on the Newborn piece.

Cropped, added some people in the wombs receding in the BG and some general noodling.

your painting is quite well done. I also enjoy your creatures ^_^

The only thing i have to say is that your faces need work. Usually when the faces are far away. Most of your closer faces look decent. I myself suck at faces from imagination so ya.

By faces i just mean the ones from imagination.
