    Tea against hangover - experiences?

So i had this horrible hangover today, i felt like dying away, my head pounding and an unimaginable nausea. After drinking 2 cups of tea it all went miraculously away and i now feel like i never drank any alcohol. Anyone ever tried this? Also general discussion about cures for hangovers

I heard that juice left from pickled cucumbers works well. Never tried it though. So far I used just water.

And people laugh at us northerners and our obsession that tea fixes everything! unless you've got a flat tyre...it won't fix a flat tyre.

My hangover cure is drinking lots of water and tea, sleeping lots and watching banal tv shows

Tea works like a charm mate, once a friend of mine got piss drunk and he needed to lay down, my mom gave him a good big cup of tea and told him to drink it all up before taking a short rest, when he woke up 45 minutes later he was ready and all settled,... ready yeah... to drink more beer =_=

I used to take Milk Thistle when I had some. It gives the liver a boost so it cleans out quicker.

One of the major causes of hangovers is dehydration, and caffeine can help with (some) headaches. So, drinking two cups of something caffeinated could well make you feel better. Sometimes. Or not. Basically, extrapolation from one data point is useless.

Just drink a lot of water while you are drinking and don't drink assy, low-shelf alcohol and you'll be fine (for the most part). You get worse hangovers from impurities in alcohol (i.e. the cheap shit) combined with dehydration.
Also, Vitamin B helps tremendously. You can get it in an eye dropper (Super B Complex) and drop a couple drops onto your tongue the night of the party and it's shocking how good it helps.

When I do make a bad mistake with drinking, though, nothing fixes it like a greasy hashbrown, bacon, and eggs breakfast and a hair-of-the-dog beer.

Drink lots of water to replentish your dehydration caused by the alcohol.

Before going to bed after you been out drinking, to avoid a hangover then you should drink a liter or more of water. The reason you get a hangover is that the alcohol is dehydrating your body, this means it also dehydrates your brain which is why your head hurts so much in the morning.

I usually get urban detox, vitamin water or gatorade. But Tea sounds like it could work pretty well. The idea is to get more vitamins than sugar.

Next time you might want to skip the booze and go straight to the tea.

Hot and sour soup always was a great remedy for me and my friends. Drinking lots of water, as has been mentioned, helps too before you go to bed the night you are drinking.

Drinking water before bed works, the only problem is it's easy to forget when you need it the most.

Tea on harsh katzenjammer is evil! Drinking water is the best + some vitamin C from citrus fruits, mainly before sleep. Also avoid mixing alcohol with shitty beverages like cola, sprite and chemical juices

Really true. Try using water as a chaser. You have to drink a lot to get alcohol after taste out of your mouth. Two birds one stone.

Take charcoal pills just before you drink and there will be no hangover at all.

You can find them at any health store.

Really depends on how hungover I am. If I hit the "vomit uncontrollably" stage, then tea just makes it worse. Everything makes it worse. All I can do is keep sipping water and fighting to keep it down.

For mild upset stomach, tea is amazing. And eating fruit, especially apples. Sometimes I can stomach some bread too. If I can get some food in me, I'll take a multivitamin.
