I'm doing a short comic. Kind of. Never did these before. Halftone patters are so cool!

Thanks, GraphiX, I will stick to photoshop and free to use halftone patterns

Moleskine sketches. My scanner makes these pages look way worse than they actually are.

#242 is an excellent post - what have you been doing to improve? Some of this is obvious I know, but I'm curious

The fist guy in #248 is also excellent. Great stuff here, inspiring post that #242!

Amazing sketches, really fun paints. Keep up those lovely values. You inspire me to try scanning art and doing some digital play-around.

Agerkvist: Seemingly I did nothing, just kept drawing. It all came to me naturally. I haven't done any studies, though. Like, never.
    Misty: Cool, go for it!

Dude your work is crazy good!
I just found your sketchbook and I love everything about it, I still have a few pages to view through but your style and fantasy type work is the kind of art work I love.
Keep up the great work, looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

You have so many cool pieces of things such as characters in armour, are they what you have come up with without reference or are they just things you have found online and studies using as reference?
I just ask because I would love to be able to paint / create something cool without just copying but I am no good at applying what I have learnt without the reference, such as armour and things.

the comic has some really cool linework, good job!
The faceless look cool as well, I'm working on something similar and it reminds me of James Jean's work.
Try smoothing out the faces and work with not-so-standard lighting set ups.

    Cheers!

Aww, sorry about the bad dream. But, maybe the math formulas were key to the universe! You just glimpsed the edge of the universe through your subconscious!!

Thank goodness your moleskin sketchbook is safe.

    Although.. Poor moles. :o

    Nice designs in here.

Good to see I'm not the only one who likes to sketch in ball point/biro pen.

Stephen: Thanks a lot! Most of my designs are made up, imaginary. The key is OBSERVATION - look at paintings, photos, whatever; try to understand and remember how an armour is built, how fabric works and with time your mind will build a visual library. I consider my own imagination to be my weakest point, it's hard for me to come up with original and interesting design idea. Just keep looking at art
Grafguy: Awesome! I will surely try that!
    Maxim: Спасибо, стараюсь
Kambei Shimada: Thanks, ballpoints are great, I should get back to them soon.

    ---

Oh yeah, that's why I don't do studies often. They are boring!!

Man I love biro drawings! I used to do them all the time! I think in your last piece the anatomy could have been emphasized a bit more but those clouds are stunning man, well done!

First character sketches for my graphic novel - Deranged Reveries. I really want to work on this project, so let's hope I will not abandon it on early stages like I did with other projects. It's my first time doing comics, wish me luck!
