Damn man, you've improved so much since I last visited. Really strong traditional work aswell with all dem sexy values. There's a lot of your sketches that I would love to see in a more finished form. But I'm looking forward to seeing your latest WiP finished

A little critique though, it seems like you tend to make the heads larger on your characters. The proportions look a bit wonky because of it. A good example would be the right Gambit piece and Geralt! Some come across as stylization like the latest knight you're working on and I think that's becaus the other limbs look equally as broad in a sense!
I hope that helps man! Keep kickin' it!

Hey Tristan! I do a lot of sketches during school lessons, although most of them are not something to be proud of and I don't post them here.

Here, have a dwarf, his name is Beardo:

This rather quick painting depicts one of the many misadventures of Beardo the dwarf thief as he leads his reckless followers straight into the death's embrace.

You have one of the strongest starts in any sketchbook I have ever seen!! I notice that it consists of mostly awesome sketches and paintings instead of studies, which is interesting because you are improving just as fast, if not faster, than a person that mindlessly studies.

If you can further elaborate on your process, that would be really really cool! )))

Mannyhaatz: Thanks a lot for kind words! I prefer learning to studying. It's better for me to paint and learn how to do it properly on the go instead of doing studies and then applying what I've learned later. It's faster, much more fun and maybe more effective.

Here is an early stage of my next painting. It's messy as hell and I usually don't do so many adjustment layers and color tweaks. And then merge everything into one layer - hardcore mode ON!

I love your stuff.. even the way you sketch things - but most of all how you manage to get expressions(mood), stories and dimension into your drawings

Hey really nice stuff going on here. I like the ambitious mermaid illustration and I definitely think that burning ship gave the whole thing some thing special.

The rendering on your portrait studies is quite appealing but i'd be a little more careful with the construction of the head/placement of the features. It looks, to me, like the face is too far forward. i.e. the distance between the eye and ear is too great. It's kinda minor but it's the little things that make all the difference when it comes to capturing likeness.

Keep it up tho and sweet unicorn bro! (didn't think I'd be saying that anytime ever)

jondawo: You are right, I'll put that ship back. And thanks for pointing out the face proportions issue. I will be careful with it from now on.
Greenwig: Cool, that's great, draw more!

Some creepy dude. Based on a photo ref. And a screencap study from Vikings series. Man, I should focus on one painting a time...

Haha I'm also doing studies from the Vikings series. Sooo many good reference images from that show. Also that black metal makeup/corpsepaint thing you did looks really cool!

Tristan: True that, some shots are really beautiful. I will do more Vikings studies later.

Finished the Sirens painting, go to my deviantart to see it in fullres! Also, here is first of the Vikings screencap studies, and recent moleskines.
