I´m interested in getting a good solid artistic base, I had been doing color practices but I start to feel it´s a little useless without some basic knowledge, that´s why I decided to leave color aside and start with human anatomy. I will use books, photos and the mirror to practice
Feel free to give advices or critics, anything will be appreciated
edit: changed attached file
oh my god this is so old already, seems like from other lifes i had, who is this!!!!

the faces took me toooo long to finish them and the quality is horrible for the time I spent.
ugh argh, gah... tomorow more and better
the poses are from posemaniacs, 60 seconds each, and in the faces the first page is from imagination.

More draws. this time I was be able to be cleaner and faster yay!
the draws include exercises from giovanni civardi. draw from life, photos and poses from posemaniacs (60 seconds). The last face is from imagination.
I think tommorrow I will spend more time searching for tips to learn anatomy faster. Just copying feels like that isn´t enough.
By the way, does anyone know why somethimes I can´t attach images with the attach manager? there are limits or something?
Yesterday I saw a lot of posts but only found a few things related with learning anatomy fast, it seems that doing from imagination can be a good idea. And I got some books, like the human figure from Vanderpoel but I don´t get anything
For me he´s english it´s just too... english -_-
I think a book for kids would be better lol
And sorry for the bad quality, that´s the work from 2 days and it would be a pain scan everything.
Deepinonespersona: thank you and yeah my faces are wonky, I have to practice moarrrr.
Ahhg... today wasn´t my best day, I overslept and felt tired
But! this gave me the chance to make some exploration, I found some anatomy books that I understand better. And I found a fantastic thing. A place here in madrid where ppl gather together to draw real persons, in real life, by our own eyes, it´s just 1 day a week 2 hours but it´s free I´m so excited, really, I´m going to know artists and ppl like me
About today work, the first 2 pages are from imagination.
This is the work of two days.
The first 5 images are drawings from life, it was a lot of harder then what I thought. But the musicians were moving a lot T.T but it was fun, they were playing music and we were drawing them, arrrrt everywhere = fun , 15 min for each one.
The 4 and 5 image is my little brother hehe.
Yesterday studies. I can’t show what I did today it's too late to scan.
hm I think the poses are giving some results, first page is from imagination, it´s the first time I made poses like that from imagination so in some way I’m happy but at the same time I´m not so happy, I would like to evolve faster.
I started to draw weapons a long time ago, artifacts and weapons are what I like to draw the most and some day I hope to be really good at it, so from today on I decided to draw artifacts and weapons more often. the first 2 are from imagination but with partial reference (the shield it´s inspired in leviathan ffVIII).
Oh and the 3ş and 4ş are self portraits.
there is also excercises from loomis, from imagination and poses.
Wow, you decided to get serious about art a few weeks ago and you've already shown visible progress! It's been just under a month since your first post! The power of persistence!
Anyways, I think it's excellent that you've decided to focus on one thing at a time. I also started with the human figure. One thing I'll say from my own experience is that I fell into the pattern of only doing figure studies and I got a little bored and wasn't as productive as I could be. The second you feel like you're getting a little tired of the figure studies, move on to something else to focus on and know exactly what it's going to be. This will save you plenty of time and energy. Perhaps your next area of focus could be values and form.
Anyways, keep the studies and make sure you get your hands on the best information possible. I see you're doing Loomis studies. Just focus on his stuff for now since "Figure Drawing For All Its Worth" has just about everything an artist wanting to study the figure needs...and make sure you're drawing figures from life. Find ateliers that have figure drawing sessions and also do quick sketches of people in public. It's a helluva challenge and I don't do it enough myself.
Mr.Pryminista Thank you so much for your comment! really, this kind of words are gold for me, 10.000 thanks
I go 1 day a week to draw people from real, and yeah it´s very very hard. the sessions are posted below (15 min each, the ones with the masks), as you can see I can´t handle it very well. But I will get beterrrr.
Well about today´s post, there is a little bit of everything. I´m trying to get fastest and better drawing from life, I make gesture drawing with my face which end up being boring. I´m also reading and studying anatomy. First page is from imagination. Then it´s live sessions and then all the rest.
Edit: oh my I forgot it was this much, it`s the work of 4 days, sorry for that.
day 22 and then 23 - 24. The dragon sword is from imagination.
Lately I had been a lot in the clouds, like wandering a lot, When I`m like that I can`t draw at all haha. But I guess i need those times too. There are things I would like to change, things I want to keep, things in wich I want to get better etc.
this is from before and after vacations. Several poses like the screaming girl or the illustration of the happy thing are from imagination.
And the last thing, the sword, it might seems boring, and it is, but took hours -_-
Bad day, i have to do something, i had been unmotived. Gah, hdhefsfhfjfrsf
And geez I know I talk to myself in this scketchbook, just in case someone see this one day, let me tell you I´m not crazy, really, I keep posting be cause it helps me to keep the track of what I´m doing.
