At this point your only options are to keep drawing. Pick up some Loomis material on head construction and set in front of a mirror and get to learnin'!

You're going to have a crap ton of bad drawings before things start to click in your head. So don't get emotionally attached to anything your producing.

    Good luck!

hi Eddie! seems that we are namesakes ^^

First of all, there are a lot of things completely wrong in that picture.
    Perspective, anatomy, rendering, etc...
You should start doing studies of real people to improve your skills, is this from reference or from imagination?

The internet is plenty of resources you can use to improve.
Try Loomis books for the drawing and look at digital painting tutorials for the rendering.

I suggest you look here: http://enliighten.com/

    or here: http://www.fengzhudesign.com/tutorials.htm

    hope this helps!

Damn man, why didn't I find this site earlier?

Yeah, Eddie, welcome! As Zombie said, some Loomis is defo in order. Also check out Colour and Light by James Gurney and pretty much (at this stage) any book you can get your hands on. Including comics, story books, graphic novels, illustrated magazines - everything!

    A.

Blog - Check it out. It's fun.

Sketchbook - I should really update more often.

Portfolio - The most fun of them all.
