    Ali's Sketchbook

    Hey I don't have much and I'm super nervous about posting with so much great work around. I'm here to kick my ass into gear though so crits and advice are welcome!

    These are some things I've done since joining. The one with the girl was the prompt from the daily sketch group which I'm considering giving up on because of her freakish left arm. I can't for the life of me make it look natural, which I don't usually have trouble with but the foreshortening is making it hard.

    Hey, I like that portrait. Usually it serves to block in colours first, but the scribbly way you've done it and the way you see gaps where the background colour shows through gives it a style that suits it well.

    Digital makes no sense to me T_T I always start out to make pretty painting like you all but I end up with these weird things.

    Plus recent oil painting as a gift for someone. Went from my old pen drawing to this.

    Saw a spartan thing and tried it. Here are some thirty second and under gestures some focusing on feet because let's face it, feet are freaks.

    Next time I'll post some stuff with longer duration.

    new few minutes practicing figure painting I regret using acrylic. Any adivce on process would be good, just winging it. did gesture in organe, filled in greenish background when in with wash for shadows tried to work fomr dark to light.
