Hi, my name is Irving Mendez, I am from Mexico City. I am currently enrolled in the first semester of animation at Seneca College, located in Toronto, Canada.

My work ranges from traditional painting and sculpting to animating, because I really like to know about the whole process involved in the creation of an animation, from pre-production to editing.

My focus right now is on traditional painting and figure drawing as I have read that it is better to first learn traditional and then move onto digital. My goal is to become a pre-production artist at an animation studio, focusing on concept art. (my dream, as it is for most of the animation students I have met, is to one day work at dreamworks, pixar or as a freelance artist).

I would really appreciate very honest critics to my artwork, it doesn't matter how harsh and direct they are. I really want to improve my work; any advice on how to better guide myself to achieve my goal will be appreciated.

THANK YOU FOR VIEWING MY WORK!
