    does it look like fire

I am trying to paint fire but I don't know how. Does anyone have ideas on how to make it look better?

Great reference for ya, note how soft the flames appear. Remember fire should never look solid. if anything it should be like a glowing gas.

When ever you have a light source in this case fire nothing can be as light as the source itself. You have to darken the ladder and have the light fall off away from the source.

    Here is a paint over.
