its like back in the seventies Chris Moore, Peter Elson, Angus McKie, Ralph McQuarry and Chris Foss had an orgy and this is the result.

I've had a love for space and sci-fi space ship art ever since I was a little kid. Man, this is some fantastic work. And I'm sad to say I've never heard of the artist before. But I will be looking for the name from now on. Thanks!!!

Might I suggest E.E. Doc Smith's "Chronicles of the Lensmen"...epic space opera...but must be read lightly.

And yeah...nice stuff - bringing a lot of different people together and making it his own!

    What would Caravaggio do?

Oh maaaan, this is so awesome. I would pay half my soul to the devil to get a whole lifetime traveling around in those amazing space ships.

I think the red image with the belt shaped artefact is from Raft by Stephen Baxter, about people who accidentally end up in a universe where gravity is a billion times as strong as in ours. His Xeelee Sequence stories in Raft, Flux and Vacuum Diagrams are very Stapledon with updated superphysics and good hard SF as Ive found anywhere.

The mushroom archology looks like it might be on Trantor.

Ah...that explains the weird "black hole sun" thing...

    What would Caravaggio do?

need...book..those...images. Where can I impulse purchase a book of those images?

    LINKS PLEASE!!

"Everything must serve the idea. The means used to convey the idea should be the simplest and clear. Just what is required. No extra images. To me this is a universal principle of art. Saying as much as possible with a minimum of means."
