Thread: Imagination 6/12
June 2nd, 2004 #1
I must try and get myself to draw from my imagination some more. In this thread I will post the results, daily, i hope.
Today I dream of a future where the clothes get more sophisticated, and the weapons get less.

Drawing while riding in the car.
I am practicing, and attempting to build on my anatomy and perspective, among other things.

People are hard.
Monsters are harder.

whoa, that car drawing looks pretty stable... in romania, i can barely make a few straight lines in one hour...
i would like to complain about the monster, tho, it doesn't seem as good as the other ones.

Skid, you're right, the monster sucks. I hate drawing monsters. The blank page gets so much huger and blanker, and i have nothing to go on. i have a small idea, but i never know where its all going, not to mention my knowledge of animal anatomy is feeble...
to sum it up, i suck.
Drew this while my grandpa was bleeding all over the floor at the dailysis center.

hey man, i was just thinking today that i havent seen any of your work. .and then i find this post. not bad work, but very thorough and in depth studies of human anatomy would really help your work. you said you are trying to improve your anatomy, but from what i see, you dont have a good enough grasp of it to draw it effectively out of your head. i am currently doing very in depth studies of all the bones and muscles of the body.. ..taking it one section at a time (arms, back, trunk, legs, etc) so i really learn everything. also, you will probably have better luck with responses if you post in the daily sketchbooks forum. .. ..theres a really good community there.
anyway, keep drawing, man. 4 more days till austin
