[Beginner / Intermediate] Sci Fi Gun Concept Design for Production

    Hey everyone!

I was asked to do a tutorial on sci fi gun making for CGcookie.com and after C2E2 and ACEN finally got out of the away I was able to finish the series and wanted to show you guys my work to hopefully teach someone something new.

Please let me know what you think about the tutorials so that I can get better at these as I go.

Thanks for a great in depth tutorial. It was useful to hear some of the techniques and shortcut keys used. The way you used the canvas in an economic manner was great to see as i've seen this as an area i can improve. I've not really seen thumbnails produced on a dark background before and it brings another dimension to the thumbnails.

Your work is awesome! I'm looking forward to seeing your future tutorials.

Thanks for this, I've never actually been able to find a decent tutorial on weapon/gun design and learned a lot from your videos. I always thought they were done mainly in 3D packages or Sketchup. Cheers!
