    salaryman
Who are some artists with great digital line work

Uh.. how on earth is that "close enough" if it's not digital?!
Also great digital line work tends to come from having great traditional line work.
So while you wait for your Wacom, pick up liquid ink and a brush.

The line uniformity threw me off, but fair enough. Most of these artists also draw traditionally, so that's probably true.

It helps to experiment with the pressure sensitivity of your tablet for one. I've seen some people who never touch the settings and have no variety of lines. Set up some hotkeys to change size easily. Work on pressure settings etc.

But if you don't have good line work on paper you won't on digital.

Salaryman makes some nice lines. http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=41771 (both digital and otherwise)

    http://conceptart.org/forums/showthr...=75297&page=25

Also, it kinda doesn't matter too much because if you're looking for those really smooth lines, a lot of inexpensive software or people who know how to use vector can use the stablizer (Easy Paint Tool Sai PC users), Smoothing (AZ Drawing - which is freeware PC http://www.tabletpcfiles.com/56/azdrawing-2/) or ramping up Damping in Corel Painter.

There are other methods like working at a high resolution and shrinking it down.

Of course none of this matters if you don't sit down and practice your line economy, basic foundations etc...regardless if it's digital or not.

I already added salaryman in my original post, his stuff is great. Thanks for those links Arshes Nei, I'll check it out.
Let me just make it clear that in no way am I thinking that drawing digitally will make me better at drawing. I love pencil stuff from artists like wes burt and marko, but it's also interesting to see what people can do with a digital pen.
