    Sketchy, very sketchy...

I'm Luke, a 25 year old Sydney-sider, an Erskinevillian! And I'm extremely interested in pursuing a career within illustration. Seeing everyone's work here, I'm often amazed and always deeply inspired to do more, to wrestle with my overt slothiness, and perhaps achieve some success with my work.
I'm open to criticism and certainly it's opposite, so please feel free to throw any kind of word-sentence my way, and if you're interested in any deeper insight to my process, I'd be very happy to oblige.

On a more 'self-whoring note,' I am available for freelance work.

Nice work here! Good set-ups, interesting color schemes. However, your colors seem to be a little muddy at some points? I'd watch out for "black" shadows and "white" highlights. Look at the reclining woman--her torso is beautiful, but then the colors on her face lose their life.

JesseM: Thank you! You're quite right, I am much more confident in Black and White, but I've really been pushing the colour as of late. I've noticed that 'muddiness,' myself, and it might explain why I tend to walk away from these works half-finished.
I really appreciate you taking the time to look, and I'll be mindful of my shadows and highlights.

I was working on a Rocktar Bounty hunter idea for the latest CHOW but have been very busy with other, less fulfilling obligations. It's been a great leather study thus far...

I got inspired after watching Prometheus. Not the greatest movie, but visually stunning!

WIP's from latest CHOW, infected scientist.

I'm not sure I'm going to stick with the hook, but I kind of took inspiration from movies momento and Prometheus. You may notice a tattoo on his forearm - I was contemplating puting tattoos all over his body, as though he is documenting his search for a cure in case he dies.

This is just a close-up of the face (obviously), I spend much of my time adding very fine detail - I love rendering realism to characters.

Not much new really, I hope to finish it on the weekend. Did some rubbery pants though... also tried some variations on the hook hand, including a gun to fight off the other more adversely infected and an oxygen tank and gas mask combo. Still unsure what to stick with.
