    Painter 12 setup issues

    Hi

I have gone from using painter x to 12. I used to use the artist oils all the time. I like the pickup of the paint on canvas onto the brush and the fact the paint would 'wear' away if a stroke was to long.

I cant seem to find the same features now, I've tried setting up real wet oils to do the same thing and in the windows tabs I can see artist oils options but cant find the tool itself.

The mixer still works like this but I cant get anything else to, what am I doing wrong?

    Thanks

Not sure what you mean here. The features you describe should work straight out the box for the relevant brushes.

I think the problem was the relevant brushes were scattered to the winds. I felt the moving of the Artist's Oils brushes to various categories made it more confusing.

The user could also use the Painter 11 Library which isn't such a hassle imo - I mean the brush management is actually better than trying to find a certain brush in PS considering how many you can install.

However, I'd advise getting Painter to the latest Update (12.1) so you can just import/export a brush category with more ease.
