Nice stuff over the past month. You're definitely making progress on your blocking in.

Watch your colours. Most of your colour work has a bit of a washed-out look. Two things to look for - first, warms and cools, the highlights and shadows on objects generally won't be the same temperature, and leaving them as such flattens things out a little, makes them look less natural. Second, shifts in saturation. Those last for studies all look very mid-range. While colour-picking is generally a bad way to study, don't be afraid to do so to check your work, just to see how far off you were. It helps to understand how you're misperceiving, and why.

@revidescent thanks so much for the advice i really appreciate it! i've tried out keeping an eye out for the warm and cool colours in this one but havingt a struggle grasping saturation, i will have to work on that some more!

great to see all of this hard work, keep this ammount of practice and you should see progress very nicely in a short amount of time, its nice to see such energetic brushwork but try and wath the proportions of things also i recommend some anatomy studies and geometrycal shapes practice! that is surely going to jumpkick start your progress

my sketchbook! Drawing like a maniac!!

I second lionheartGFX's suggestion. Practing some detailed anatomy would help (something I should be doing!)

That one with the elephant shows that you're making progress. Good colors on that.

Hey man, Its good to see you improving quite obviously is a relatively short amount of time. I actually quite like the vague sketchy drawings you have in post #6. I would say that you need to keep up trying to commit to getting your studies to a finished level. And possibly work more on the under drawing a bit more before you add the colour. Just to make sure all the proportions are correct. Don't forget to reverse your canvas to see any errors.

    Keep it up brother.

Those figure paintings on the 1st page are GREAT. Nice and lose, sketchy, but enough to hint at detail and form.

I agree with the posting above about washed out colors. I have a lot of trouble with this as well, and I think it's due to not having any good handle on using traditional paints. So that seems like a good way to get better at color choice and brush strokes.

Man, you're putting out so much work! I really admire your dedication.
I think the values in your paintings are coming along nicely. I think you should study some skulls and face proportions.

Keep it up! You're doing great!

hehe, I'm also thinking about buying a skull model, but right now I'm quite happy with this site: https://www.biodigitalhuman.com/home/
You can sign up for free and have a fully complete 3D turn and zoomable anatomy doll, where you can switch everything on and off. It's really nice!

You've got some good value studies going on here. I agree with ecki, watch out for the facial proportions and you'll start improving fast. Remember to flip your image while working to check for mistakes

I can def see the effort you're putting in. One thing I would watch out for are your edges when painting. Your edges when painting objects for the most part appear blurry. On post #64, I'm liking how the one with the elephant and the guy is looking. Your edges around the guy seems to be better. You should pay more attention to stuff like that.
