    Help me learn Value/Perspective

    Hi there,

I am trying to learn everything I need in order for me to be a digital artist, I'm trying to learn value and perspective currently so any help or comments on the below will be appreciated. Also what books or tutorials on perspective can I read or buy. :-)

You seem to understand the basic idea of perspective; apart from some details, that is okay. However, the perspective in your first value sketch is badly off: learn to apply perspective, for instance in a city scape, before moving on to rendered studies...

Handprint.com is the first website that comes to mind when I think of in-depth information on perspective (and color theory, for that matter). The website is a little difficult to navigate, so here's a direct link to that part:

Get a copy of Norling's "Perspective Made Easy". Do the exercises and learn the tricks.
