Here is a WIP of John Travolta doing his famous walk at the beginning of Saturday Night Fever. Done in Photoshop...

Hey man I really like the paint treatment. Promise you will leave it a little painterly like it is--it looks great.

I'm not getting Travolta from it overwhelmingly, but I'm not a good judge. I've never seen the movie, and I don't even remember how he looks at that age. It's good tho. Hopefully someone else can suggest something for likeness.

Thanks Artfix for your input! No worries, I like that painterly look as well. I have started a thread in Portfolio Reviews...if you like to see a finish piece from me, under MDM Portfolio.Ya, John T. much thinner back then, at this stage, I'm focus on shapes and keeping the likeness in mind. I caught some of your work Artfix, really good stuff...do you use Painter?

Thank you! I used to use Painter for about a year back in 2009. But then I found some photoshop brushes that really mimic brush strokes and blending. As you can tell, I really like to mimic traditional media as much as possible too.

I'm definitely going to check out your portfolio review. But right now I gotta go catch Game of Thrones lol.
