    Critique need please for my Animal Sculptures!

    Hi, All

    I would like to show my Animal Sculptures that are in my Animation film!

    Do the figures look well made?

    For animation it's more what you do with them and frankly that's not a lot. The sequence with the titles need to have movement and there's no real storyline either. And that's not taking into account the choppy animation. Shutting the door to shop has no meaning if the next shot is him outside the shop with magazine.

    Moving to animation forum as well.

    Thank you, i take in what you are saying! this is my first attempt in animation.

    i guess with the door and the magazine, i didn't want it to go on for too long, so
    i skipped to the mag part, the program i'm using was great but not enough editing options in the length of each shot.

    Yup, for animation your primary goal is staging, good motion and timing. The quality of the puppets matters much, much less.

    Look up Garry Bardin - he was able to tell stories with pieces of string and matches. That's what animation is about. If you can tell a story with a piece of string, you'll be able to tell it with anything.
