I'm the main developper of BlackInk a new drawing Software currently in private Beta test.
Black Ink is a drawing software that uses the features of your graphic card for rendering extremely smooth, even on very high definition.
Thanks to Virtual Texture update the user can draw in 10Kx10K image without any lag.
Black Ink does not try imitate real graphic, thus it may also register as a generative art software.
For example, Black Ink does not seek to imitate watercolor or oil painting, but takes advantage of your computer to provide tools that do not exist in reality.
You can check some creations done with it at http://blackink-drawing.tumblr.com/
The Public Beta will be released soon at http://www.bleank.com/
Technical blog http://u2bleank.tumblr.com/
Will BlackInk be open source or payed? Cant wait to try it out
BlackInk will be a shareware. where you can use all the features except you can't save in high resolution your picture.
The public Beta will cost around 15€ and you will benefit of constant update without any new charge.
The final version will cost around 50€
The software looks neat. Is the Beta license transferable to the final version? Or will it be 15 for the beta and then when released another 50 (so 65 )?
I'm quite interested in getting into buying the closed beta, what link do i follow if its alright to ask?
Kikoshi : for now the closed Beta is really closed
But we will released a public one in few weeks. You can however create an account here http://www.bleank.com/my_account.html if you want to receive a notification when it will be available
Any updates on this?
Extremely interested in joining in with testing, I'm tired of traditional media simulation, I started as a digital artist because I'm not interested in time-consuming, expensive, primitive techniques.
I've taken a look at the tumblr - please update soon and let us know when you'll shift the testing to public beta =)
This software looks great. Any plans for an OS X release?
