    sick stuff! those character concepts look great

    the thing I'd pick on is with the characters set in environment there doesn't seem to be enough of a separation in value/softness/hardness between background, foreground, and middle ground

    I think pushing the values more might help with that
    http://www.ctrlpaint.com/ has an awesome tutorial on that that might help

    keepit up!

    Another dump

    @Gpozzo: thanks! I really really love the wispy curly q-ness you put in your sketches! keep up those studies, too!

    @TNiznet: thanks!

    @Duplicitious: thanks a lot! and yea I was struggling a lot. ill keep that in mind and work on that in the future. and thanks for the link! I'll definitely be checkin out ctrl paint more often.

    Bunch of moleskine sketches, a few randoms, couple sketchgroup things, etc. i'm not holding anything back so excuse the poopy sketches. Also did some Michael Hampton anatomy studies and then applied that to some photo reference.

    Should be caught up after this dump....and will try to update more regularly. but no pomises...happy arting! blow out those artholes!!

    digital dump

    GAHH IM LEARNING SO MUCH! sorry its been a while lol Mostly environments for this dump. I worked on value separation (thanks Dupliciticitious!). im trying to stay away from black when starting my environments. But...sometimes I just hang loose and scribble and see what comes out. =l Anyway I also did a sargent study which I learned a ton about edges and the relationships od color and value! he is fantastic reference in case any of you didn't already know

    I used a big 24" Cintique for the first time the other day. HNNNNGG I'M IN LOVE. Definitely going to cough up the 2000 for it as soon as I have a job. the sketch with the big mushrooms and the one with the flat colors were both done in about 45 mins total. I found the Cintique allows me to work a million time faster. I feel much more connected with the medium. I'm going to delve more into the traditional media to solve this disconnection. I will probably start with water color since thats all I have atm.

    Anyway I will post more from my moleskine soon. Cheers!
