curing polymer clay in a homemade solar oven?

Hi everyone, I just created an account here to ask a question. This is my first time using polymer clay, and the kind I am using is super sculpey firm. The piece I am making is too large for my oven, and I was looking up alternative ways to cure the clay and came across solar ovens.

Here is an example of one:

Does anyone have any experience using these to cure their sculptures?

    Thanks

Well, they are saying it gets up to 250 degrees, so it should work.

I'd imagine you'd need very steady sunlight. I can't imagine varying temperatures would be great for the clay.

If this doesn't work, have you considered boiling the Sculpey in a giant pot in your backyard? There's a whole thread on it if you search Statue Forum.
