Havent been around much lately....withdrawn myself in my studio together with my trusted friend: palette knife....hired a model ....and submerged myself in figure painting....this is what i came up with....hope you appreciate it and thanks for watching!!!!
Really nice work - good knife skills!
the colors used are impeccable. love the positions of the woman's body.
Thanks thegrayslayer and ThumbprintGallery!
Had to leave my old studio a while back, an old empty office building...big long windows with great lightning...what a miss...made a few paintings from the inside (first two)......last one is something completely else but just finished it yesterday in my new studio....pretty content with the loose brushwork...think I leave it like it is.....new studio sgot good vibes!!??
The visible brush strokes and to see how you actually "sculpt" volume just made my day!
Cheers to that,
Beautiful work. I really like your technique & color scheme.
Some very good work here.
Some of those black shoe girl paintings really hit the button.
But those empty studio paintings (particularly the first) are extra special.
Alex Kanevsky is not far away - but you have something of your own going here and, well, stick with it!

Just for fun....I like to put myself in awkward and strange situations...
And thanks for the reactions you guys..

Together with a small group of fellow-artists we invite and paint other artists for a three hour sit: two years ago we portraited writers/poets, last year musicians and this year we paint visiual-artists. Besides the great variety in faces most of them share nice stories and anekdotes.
The last two are great! I like the transparent washes together with the opaque bits in the background.
Once and a while it is great to just wonder around the house and studio the look for objects to paint. The most simple thing can be like a great landscape.
Solid knife work.
I might suggest mixing up the size of your marks a bit. When you get this obviously textural with your work, there's a trap of having all of these thick, juicy marks be the same size. Kinda kills the effect as things get too monotonous.
Keep at it, man. You're going in a great direction here.
I like your work
These are some fantastic studies. I'm loving your strong brush strokes.
Keep it up.
