nice work, i like the rendering that was going on on the last's picture's tree, faces look alright, but kinda flat, i urge you to study the form using the 5 degree of darkness from black to white, to make it look more 3d.

-We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit.

-Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon 'em.

Received some bads news a few weeks back and didn't feel like uploading. I've still been drawing though and ready to kick this sketchbook into shape.

Anyway here's some anatomy things I did for our study group.

I love what you have shown so far! The hand studies are lovely. You also did really well with the assignment for the study group. I like the type of shading you have done on the skeletons and muscles - enough to show form but not so much it takes over the line.

Some thumbnail drawings I did the day before yesterday. Although I did manage to get my hands on a copy of Picture This by Molly Bang since then so i might redo them. That book is so damn good....

Oh and some doodles in black marker and highlighter. Drew them after watching a sinix video. Fluorescence doesn't scan very well...

you have a lovely sketchbook going on here. It's nice to see you doing a range of stuff and I especially like the skeleton studies and the tree is really well done. You've wrapped your shading around the form giving it plenty of depth.

Hey there. Good start. You seem to have a lot of passion for illustration! (see what I did there?) At this phase it seems like a lot of reference work, be it anatomy books, images or life drawing would really get you up to speed quick.

Hey guys, it's been a while.
Have some recent studies and sketches

    Some gestures.

I went to my first life drawing class about a week back, these are some of the first drawings I've done of the human figure.
really enjoyed it bit it's very easy to see my mistakes in them. I tend to draw the head too big and the legs too short.
It got easier after a while though. I have a couple more but I left them at school. I'll upload them tomorrow.

An acrylic painting of a cat skull I found in a photo. First time painting in acrylic and it was pretty fun!
Took a lot of liberties with the color and the structure of the lower jaw is off.
That's hindsight for you though :/

I like the recent pencil studies! Your lines are looking good You should keep pushing the anatomy studies you did a while back, especially the skeleton and muscle ones. I’m looking forward to your next updates

I like the line drawings in post #9. It would help to not focus so much on just contours though but actual construction of these objects using perspective. So my advice? Study perspective like a mofo.

    Long time no see sketchbook!
Been pretty busy with school and stuff for the past few months so I haven't gotten the chance to post as often as I should.

Just wanted to say thanks for the comments guys!
I've been trying my best to think in terms of form instead of contour. It's a work in progress :)

Anyway I'm only gonna post my most recent stuff.
All digital sketches because I just got a tablet and have been trying to get used to it.

Some gestures from this past week's Spartan Camp.
Still not sure if I'm getting em down right.
I find myself thinking about individual limbs rather than the whole body sometimes :/

Some stuff from imagination. The sphere is my first proper attempt at painting.
I'll have to practice with reference next time.
Didn't really know what I was doing there.
