Gpozzo - thanks! Yep, perspective is something I plan to focus on very soon after I become just a bit more comfortable with the human body. And good note about using more realistic-coloured landscapes. I didn't even notice, but you're right, they're all very saturated and cartoonish. I'll be sure to mix it up a bit.


Anyway, I decided to attempt the human body... from purely my mind! No Loomis or references... Or Loomis references. I just tried to apply what I've learnt so far about gesture drawing, anatomy, shape, balance etc. and do it completely from imagination. I started with the frame then added bulk.

Considering I've only been building figure drawing skills for 2 weeks, I'm really happy with the results.
