    ShizophreniE's Sketchbook

    Hi there!

My name is Lisa. I am 15 (18 now). I've been following this site for several months, but I was afraid to create my own sketchblog ._. But after I was advised to do it, I finally make up my mind.
I paint nearly 3 years, so I would like to have greater progress. I would be very grateful for the constructive critique and advices.

(Im very sorry for my english. :c )

a couple of sketches that I made yesterday inspired by Zbigniew Preisner's music.
I tried to create a good composition by using tones ._.

You have an excellent start for a 15 year old; I can't even draw this well, I've practiced for over a year and I'm soon turning 21. Keep it up.

I like the use of patterns and texturing you got goin on! It shows a nice class of detail. I'm not sure if you're going for stylistic or realistic, but whatever you're going for- you go girl. It's good to start being "serious-minded" at this young age. Peace!!

GEB, thank you! This week is last at school, so i'll have a lot of time for drawing soon.

Cojac, thanks! It's because I don't have any completed drawings which I would like to show here D: They are all have simple composition, colours and a lot of mistakes in anatomy :C It's one of them.

The second isn't finished. I will add colour and more details soon >:
    Car is from photo.

A comment on the painting you did for your friend’s birthday. The central figure, or focus, is rendered beautifully. Because the figure is your focal point you get a pass on the background. Or rather if you render the back ground any further you’ll run into the issue of the background “fighting” the figure in the foreground. So don’t worry about it to much.

The only real criticism I could give is that the elbow of the black arm look a bit weird but I couldn’t give you any advice on how to fix it.

Overall it is a fantastic piece. It is better then many American published work that I have seen. It is better then my published work.

Good work. Show us what else you can do.

I like how you confront your weakness and tackle it, just like that last study that turned out really great! Keep up that work ethic!

I love the detail in the clothes, the colors, and the faces. Your mix of texture and smoothing makes it unique and intreresting. Great sketchbook

Whoa-- this is really good and I hope to be at this level by the time I turn 15 I love the color study!! but it appears to be a bit all over the place in some points-- it still looks very nice, but could be jarring to some

I am just so excited you started a sketchbook here (seriously). It's so awesome when people come here so young and practice so hard. Please keep posting because this stuff is awesome.

The light source in bloody eyeball chick (love it) is sort of ambiguous. That's a complicated one though. As long as you keep doing studies in between imaginative work you're going to get it. You're on the right track.

We are cups, constantly and quietly being filled. The trick is, knowing how to tip ourselves over and let the beautiful stuff out.

At a very young age you have good start in your sketchbook all I have to say to you is work some more on life drawing and still life a little more and values your character designs also dont try to think too much while sketching try to go by instinct and have fun also if you are looking for inspiration check out other people sketchbooks for ideas and look up feng zhu tutorials on youtube that should help you
