    a portrait

    I painted this according to a photo, Rose in Titanic. Please give me any critique you may have and I really appreciate it!

    The right (our left) side of her face seems out of perspective.

    I d suggest you work on drawing/painting from life before you dive too much into working from photos like this. Especially from commercial photographs. Cameras don t tell the whole story and the distortions that can arise are significant and will likely lead to pitfalls for artists who havent learnt from life situations enough.

    If you want to work from 2d references I d say work from images of master paintings and drawings. This way you get too see how this master has interpreted life and composed everything to make a compelling and powerful painting.
