This started off as a piece for Crimson Daggers challenge to re-design the game cover for Zelda Windwaker.
Never got round to finishing it in time to submit for the challenge but here it is anyway.
Not quite finished, but as finished as it's ever gonna be!!
Here is the next in my Disney Villain Series, Captain Hook from Peter Pan. I painted this one from start to finish on my laptop whilst travelling so don't fully trust the colours/brightness/contrast etc. But here it is for now until I can get home to check it out.
WOW! Nice renders... I personally think the Captain Hook concept is cool, but IMHO he looks too young, ditch the nose ring and give him back his hat!!! Oh, and the Zelda sword needs some work. Other than that, I love them!
Hey, thanks for your comments. Captain Hook was the first one where I changed the Disney design a bit. Only reason was the movie Hook followed it pretty closely so just tried something different.
I agree on the Zelda one! This was my first painting I ever did digitally and wasn't really happy with it.
Best of luck with the book! Looks awesome!
In between jobs, I thought I'd be super cool and do some Big Bang Theory fan art. Lens flares, Sheldon as Spock.....so cool. Was a good idea until I realised it meant 7 portraits! What was I thinking?! Anyways, a bit of fun...

OMG - is that a giant centipede tatooed on her scalp? They are just about the nastiest things that live in on our planet. Honestly - they could give 'Aliens' a run for their money if they were a little bit bigger.
The juxtaposition between the sweet beautiful face of the woman and the seriously nasty centipede is so shocking it's almost sacreligious!
This week, I got to combine my 2 greatest loves, art and football (or soccer to my friends from over the pond). I was asked to do an editorial illustration for an article on the potential impact of Lionel Messi at this year’s World Cup. I don’t know if I have ever enjoyed a job so much!
I was given the opportunity to paint another football related illustration for a magazine. This is a portrait of former Celtic, Feyenoord, Manchester United, Barcelona and Helsingborg striker, Henrik Larsson. He is portrayed here in the Celtic colours.
