Uh. Wow. I wish there was a bit more information breakdown regarding that. Wonder if they'll share the raw data....

Yeah I'd like to know how large their sample pool is and if they try and verify employement at all. Just rememeber this is the games industry not film; because of that I think the numbers for women are skewed. Most of the women I knew wanted to be in feature art or animation not games.

Yeah - it also doesn't explain the gender breakdown for each of the 'number of years' groups, which would obviously have an impact on salary differences.

As for animation, as of 2010 the Animation Guild membership was only 17 percent women. I'm not sure what it is today. (Granted that doesn't cover every animation studio - but I'd call it a significant sampling.)

damn, i'm starting a bachelors of science in computer science, but i really want to do art.
    this was helpful.
I never take stats all too seriously even though they're all we have to go on. but its not rubbish so its broadly something to go on.
anyway, i'm struggling a wee bit with calculus anyway and need to seriously make a portfolio...

-We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit.

-Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon 'em.
