Experimental Modeling System Needs Your Feedback

Experimental Modeling System Needs Your Feedback

    Howdy ConceptArt,

I am developing a skech-based subdivision modeling system about which I would like to ask for your valuable opinions. See the above video for a quick glimpse of what I am talking about.

I have put up a page online to describe the system, show how it is operated, and also put up a running executable. So everything necessary is there for you to try and tell me what you think. Even the harshest comment is useful :p You are more than welcome to share the stuff you created, models, and screenshot here.

For all of that, the tutorial page is here! You will find the necessary links on it. For it to help, don't forget to do the short survey!

    Thanks in advance!

I like the 3D sketchiness more than patching it. I started playing with drawing out topology but I haven't made anything conclusive yet.

    Thumbs Up

    Hey guys,

This fellow of mine has been working on it for quite a bit of time by now. There are very distinct features that you can easily capture with the interface and technology behind it. Hope he gets the artist feedback he needs to further develop the work.

Indeed, you don't have to patch at all though you can still use the 'draw on surface' once in a while. It helps create curves that are hard to draw symmetrically.
